Dear New England Christian Leaders,

Welcome to our first monthly newsletter introducing the New England Alliance prayer movement and our "When New England Prays 2008" initiatives.

We believe the time has come to invite the prayer movements and Christian ministries of New England to work together for the Lord's purposes. Ultimately this is a call for the transformation of our region through prayer, repentance, and united action.

Please pass this monthly newsletter along to state, denominational, county, community, church, and family members as we are inviting all of New England to join us in this special call in 2009!

Sincerely in Christ,
The NE Alliance Steering Committee

The Vision of the New England Alliance

"Remembering the covenants of the past, we purpose together to seek the manifest presence of God across the six New England states so that revival might once again visit this region, bringing awakening to the Church and transformation to the culture.

"We therefore, invite the six states to gather (their) denominations, counties, communities, churches, ministries and families of New England to enter into a time of preparation, repentance and united action. We will gather together on October 4th, 2008 to celebrate this process with a view toward continued collaboration."

The "New Hampshire Challenge" to New England

On Thursday, January 3rd, the leaders of the New Hampshire Alliance met in response to the New England Alliance invitation. After spending the day in prayer and fellowship, they enthusiastically agreed to join this effort. In addition, they issued this New Hampshire Challenge to the other New England states:

"Until revival comes, let's consecrate every Fifth Friday for the purpose of united prayer for revival. Community prayer meetings should be encouraged and organized county by county. Testimonies will be emailed to every church the following day with an invitation to join with this prayer effort for a few minutes during their Sunday morning service. Our faith for multiplied prayer meetings will be tracked on our websites until He comes."

Prayer
The meeting was bathed in 90 minutes of prayer. Pastor Miranda asked for a brief update from every state. As the new guests shared, Deut.1:38 particularly resonated with the group:
"But your assistant, Joshua son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage him, because he will lead Israel to inherit it.
The New England Alliance will labor and intercede for the anointing for the leaders of the next generation who are behind them. They will pray for the people who will go where we hoped to go.

Solemn Assembly, October 4
Graham Kendrick is the musician and songwriter behind the globally known March for Jesus. Hed like to help with the Solemn Assembly if he can.
Locally, Zenzo Matoga, who put on a very successful Night of Praise and Worship last year, would also like to help with the Solemn Assembly. He has an extensive network of local musicians and worship leaders.

Ten Days of Prayer invitations
First, Jon Friz invites everyone to a planning meeting on Thursday February 7, 10am -3pm, in the actual home of D.L. Moody. Second, please invite Jon to share about the Ten Days of Prayer at your church or in your groups. Jon Friz
